This policy explains what SocietyServe ("we", "us") does and does not collect when you use Verge. The short version is that your WhatsApp messages never reach us — they stay on your own computer.
We never receive your WhatsApp messages, contacts or chat history. Verge reads your messages into a database on your own computer and answers your questions there, on your machine. That data is never uploaded to us or to anyone else. There is no Verge server that holds your history, because none exists.
We collect only what is needed to sell you a licence and let the Software confirm it is valid:
Verge stores your message history in a database in your Windows user folder. This file is on your machine, under your control. It is not additionally encrypted by Verge, so anyone with access to your computer or a copy of that folder could read it — the same as your existing WhatsApp Web data. Protecting your device is your responsibility. You can delete this data at any time by uninstalling Verge, or removing its data folder.
We do not sell your data. We share the limited data above only with the service providers that make the product work:
Each receives only what it needs for that task.
We keep your licence record and email while your subscription is active and for a reasonable period afterwards for accounting and support. You can ask us to delete your account data by emailing us; some records may be retained where the law requires.
You may ask us what data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email team@societyserve.com and we will respond.
If we change this policy we will update the date above and, for significant changes, notify you by email.
